We approached the Nike LeBron XXI Liftoff film as a hybrid CG and live action integration study focused on controlled propulsion and spatial continuity.

Our task was to seamlessly embed the CG shoe into live action footage, then transition it into a mechanically driven lift system. Two articulated engine units were designed and animated beneath the shoe, generating thrust and stabilised ascent with physically grounded motion principles.
