We approached the Nike GT Pack as a character driven CGI study, where each shoe is defined by a distinct physical behavior translated into motion.
The challenge was to build three separate worlds within a unified basketball court environment, with each model treated as a living system rather than a static product.
Jump explores elastic propulsion, inspired by the spring mechanics of a frog. Motion is driven by compression and release, with energy stored and discharged through exaggerated but physically grounded vertical force.
Cut is defined by precision and angular velocity. Its motion language draws from high speed motorbike dynamics, focusing on sharp directional changes, low profile trajectories, and controlled edge transitions.
Hustle is built around persistence and forward drive, inspired by the constant motion of a working dog. The animation emphasizes endurance, ground contact, and continuous momentum without pause.
