We created a series of motion sculptures for CCTV Documentary Channel, conceived as digital metaphors for the fleeting moments that define life.

Across four idents, we follow a visual performance of organic, data driven forms, animated using motion capture data recorded from actors. We traveled to Taiwan to capture the performances, which became the foundation for fully CGI constructed environments and transformations.

Each ident explores a distinct emotional theme, expressed through material language. Steel reflects discipline and the Chinese adage of mastering oneself. Wood carries the youthful energy of dancers evolving into organic sculptural form. Glass expresses the warmth and joy of a father and daughter. The final piece explores love through fragility and vitality, represented as a delicate evolving structure between two lovers.
